Indian Congress fields Ajay against PM Modi in Varanasi



NEW DELHI: India’s Congress party has fielded Ajay Rai from Varanasi seat against Pime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian media reported.

This has put to rest the speculation of Priyanka Gandhi contesting the Lok Sabha elections against PM Modi in Varanasi.

The Congress had fielded Rai against Modi in 2014 as well.

Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi had on April 21 said would be happy to contest Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi constituency if Rahul Gahdni, her brother tells her to. (Agencies)
