President Bhandari visits Da Ci’en temple

XIAN: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday visited the Da Ci’en Temple in Xian. The President was welcomed by local authorities, who also briefed her about the temple.

The Da Ci’en Temple, which is located in the southern suburb of Xi’an City, is a major attraction for its fame in the Buddhist religion and its simple but appealing style of construction.

The temple was originally built in 652 during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty.

President Bhandari is on a nine-day visit of China.
