Minister Bishwakarma claims Nepal achieved progress in sports

KATHMANDU: Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma today said that Nepal has achieved expected progress in sports.

Speaking at a program in the capital today, the Minister said Nepal was on the verge of getting international recognition for its achievements and progress in sports.

He said that several developed countries have assimilated and promoted sports as business, profession, and industry. “Nepal is favorable from every angle including nature and weather for sports activities,” the minister said.

The recently concluded 13th South Asian Games in Nepal, he claimed, caused a significant rise in Nepal’s image and reputation.

According to him, the success in the SAG was possible because of the motivation and encouragement that the players were given on behalf of the government.
