POKHARA: Chitwan Rhinos defeated Kathmandu Golden Warriors by 60 runs under the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) underway at Pokhara Cricket Stadium in Kaski on Tuesday.
With the win, Chitwan has reached the final of the tournament.
While chasing the 168-runs target set by Chitwan, Kathmandu managed to get only 107 runs on the board losing nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Skipper Gyanendra Malla made 40 runs as Pawan Sarraf contributed 27 runs for Kathmandu.
Sunny Patel of Chitwan grabbed three wickets. Rohan Mustafa took two wickets.
Earlier, Chitwan scored 167 runs on the board losing four wickets in the allotted 20 overs after invited to bat first after losing the toss.
Babar Hayat secured the highest 70 runs including three four sand six sixes off 43 balls, Rohan Mustafa made 59 runs including six fours and one six off 52 balls while Aarif Sheikh contributed 15 runs off 9 balls.
In reply, Amar Routela, Basanta Regmi, Sushan Bhari claimed one wicket each of Chitwan.
Another team for the final will be finalized based on the match between Butwal and Biratnagar.
