Chinese Ambassador’s Twitter diplomacy: ‘Follow me, get free movie tickets’

KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi has come up with an innovative approach to increase her followers on Twitter. She has encouraged Nepali people to watch movies at the Chinese Film Festival beginning December 27 in Kathmandu.

Ambassador Yanqi tweeted on Tuesday morning urging people to follow her and retweet her post to get free tickets for the film festival.

She has announced 2 tickets each to the top 5 winners with the most likes. “The Opening Ceremony of Chinese Film Festival will be held on December 27 in Kathmandu,” Ambassador Yanqi tweeted.

 

The scheme ends at 12 am on December 26.
