BAGLUNG: An economic debate entitled ‘Bright Baglung, Prosperous Baglung’ is set to be held. Policy-makers, industrialists and entrepreneurs will participate in the dialogue to be held on the occasion of Baglung Festival on December 26.
The dialogue event focusing economic affairs has been organized to identify potentials of investment in the district, shared Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the host. Naresh Kandel, Chamber’s general secretary, shared that Shekhar Golchha, senior vice-president of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Dhakal, vice-president, FNCCI and industrialist Min Bahadur Gurung will deliver key note speeches on the occasion.
The event will also be participated in by district-based entrepreneurs and people elected representatives. “The dialogue event is hosted to identify the potentials of Baglung and bring in investment”, said FNCCI Baglung Chapter President Yubaraj Rajbhandari.
The dialogue is expected to make Baglung’s market economy dynamic, expand trade volume and promote investment through national capital and marketing of local products. Gandaki State Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Kirang Gurung will address the programme as a chief guest. Preparation is over for the dialogue event that is taking place at BSR Movie Hall in Baglung district headquarters.
Meanwhile, preparation for the 6th Baglung Festival to take place from Friday is also in final stage. The festival focusing on the promotion of trade, tourism and culture will last on coming January 5. Among the attractions of the event are paragliding, helicopter safari, men’s and women’s volleyball, folk songs and hymns citation. There will be more than 200 stalls in the festival site.
