DPM Pokharel to look after PM’s portfolio



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has assigned Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwar Pokharel to handle the daily administrative functions carried out by the Prime Minister during the absence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

PM Oli left here today for Baku of Azerbaijan, leading a Nepali delegation to attend the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member nations.

The President assigned the responsibility to Deputy Prime Minister Pokharel on the recommendation of the Prime Minister in accordance with the Constitution of Nepal, the Office of the President stated in a communiqué today.
