NC registers proposal of urgent public importance in parliament

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition in the House of Representatives (HoR) today registered a proposal of urgent public importance in the House, seeking House ruling to the government regarding search, rescue efforts in the aftermath of the floods, landslides, and incidences of inundation.

NC lawmaker Minendra Prasad Rijal said that the proposal was tabled to convey a message that all political parties would come together during the time of crisis.

He described the proposal aimed at inspiring the government toward working in collaboration with the parliament during the time of crisis.

He also focused on correcting the weaknesses of the past while saying that the proposal has been brought with an aim to stand together with the opposition for good causes of the people.

Lawmaker Rijal said that the proposal was also registered in a bid to prove that the opposition party is always prepared for constructive support when necessary.
