Major reconstruction work of Durbar High School completed



 

KATHMANDU: Major reconstruction of the historical Durbar High School has been completed. The oldest school of Nepal was damaged by 2015 earthquake. The major part of the reconstruction was completed in nine months.

“Following its full completion soon, students can take classes in a safe environment,” said ambassador of China to Nepal, Hou Yanqi attending an event held to mark the completion.

She added that China would continue to assist in the economic and social development of Nepal. The reconstruction was carried out with the cooperation of the Chinese government.

The total school rebuild project cost is Rs 800 million. The Chinese Government will probably hand it to the Nepal Government by the next seven months.
