MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has signed an agreement to star in new movie based on Indian Athlete PT Usha in her biopic. PT Usha has been a legend who has won 101 International medals, and is now working in Railways besides also training young athletes in her academy in Kerala.
This biopic will be directed by Malayalam director Revathy S Varma, who had directed Tamil movie June R with Jyothika, and a Bollywood movie Aap Ke Liye Hum.
Earlier the role was offered to Priyanka Chopra and as she could not take it up, the role has been reportedly transferred to Katrina, and an official announcement is yet to arrive, on whether Katrina will play the Padma Shri and Arjuna award winning athlete.
