Dadeldhura bus accident: deceased identified



DOTI: Identities of five people killed in the Dadeldhura bus accident this morning have been ascertained.

The deceased have been identified as Naresh Gurdhami; Kalashi Devi Gurdhami; and Haruli Bohara of Kedarsyu rural municipality, Bajhang; Dhan Bahadur Gharti of Talkot-4, Bajhang and Mohammed Nasir from Bihar, India, confirmed Dadheldhura’s District Officer Mohan Raj Joshi.

A total of 34 passengers were injured in the accident. Among them, 31 are being treated at the Dadeldhura-based Sub Regional Hospital while seriously injured Dhan Bahadur Chauhan of Thalara-3, Bajhang; Binod Thapa of Masta-1, Bajhang ; and Ramesh Chaudhary of Godawari municipality-10, Kailali have been referred to Kailali for further treatment, the District Police Office, Dadeldhura said.

The overloaded bus fell some 60 meters down from the road at around 4:30 am when the driver lost control over it, suggest the police primary investigation. The bus (Na 4 Kha 1831) of Karnali River Travels was en route to Bajhang from Dhangadhi, Kailali when it met with the accident at Sahukharka of Ganyapdhura rural municipality-1.
