NC expresses sorrow over Tamrakar’s demise

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party has expressed sorrow over the demise of former minister and the party’s former treasurer Ram Krishna Tamrakar.

Issuing a press note, NC Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand extended sorrow over the death of Tamrakar, recalling the contribution of late Tamrakar to Nepal’s democratic movement.

Leader Khand prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family members. Leader Tamrakar died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Lalitpur-based Alka Hospital.

Elected to the House of Representatives in 2048 BS and 2056 BS from Rupandehi district,  Tamrakar had served as the Minister for Health as well as Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

The death of NC leader Tamrakar was an irreparable loss to the party, reads the statement.
