Four Bangladeshi nationals arrested with counterfeit Nepali currency notes



BHAKTAPUR: Police have arrested four Bangladeshi nationals with fake Nepali currency notes.

According to police, they first arrested a Bangladeshi national Suman Khan who had traded with fake Nepali currency notes at a gift shop.

Chief at Metropolitan Police Circle, Bhaktapur DSP Shantiraj Koirala said that three others who were living along with Khan in a rented room were arrested for further investigation.

Those arrested are Ali Ahmad, 41, Robel Mikda, 21 and Barh Ahmad Ullah, 21 of Netrokona in Bangladesh.

Police recovered 18 Nepali currency notes in the denomination of 1,000 along with 16 notes that looked counterfeit.

Police said they are further investigating the case, adding that the Bangladeshi nationals were living illegally in Nepal.
