Jharkhand election result: JMM-Congress-RJD win



JHARKHAND: Hemant Soren, the prospective chief minister of the state, claimed victory as counting data showed his Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party and the allies winning the Jharkhand assembly election on Monday evening.

With 81 seats up for grabs, a party or an alliance need 41 seats for a majority in the Jharkhand Assembly, Indian media reports have said.

Trends published by the Election Commission showed that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) — Congress — Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) coalition have won 43 seats. (Agencies)
