KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal on Monday said that the government was aware of not creating situations where Public Service Commission (PSC) was questioned on its accountability, credibility, or curtailing its autonomy.

Responding to the questions raised by the lawmakers while deliberating on the Bill made to amend and integrate the laws related to the Public Service Act in Monday’s parliamentary committee of State Affairs and Good-Governance, he said that the government was aware that PSC should keep up with its credibility.

Dhakal said that the government’s chief concern is to establish the PSC in all seven provinces and that they should have the same credibility it has for the one in Kathmandu.

He added that the government upholds the view that the PSC should function freely.
