Federation of hotel entrepreneurs picks Hiradhoj Shah as head

SURKHET: The third general convention of the federation of hotel entrepreneurs Nepal held in Birendranagar, Surkhet picked a new leadership with Hiradhoj Shah as a chair.

A 73-member committee was elected unopposed under the leadership of Shah, a hotel entrepreneur from Butwal.

According to the election committee, other elected are Dinesh Kumar Chuke (senior vice-chair), Janak Bahadur Shahi (first vice-chair towards tourism), KP Sharma (second vice-chair towards organization), Meena Devi Gautam (first vice-chair towards women), Biswo Raj Khanal (vice-chair), Ichha Bahadur Wagle (vice-chair towards administration) and Imand Baral (vice-chair).

Among others elected are Birmanjana Batala (general secretary), Sher Bahadur Thapa (deputy general secretary), Tilak Bahadur Karki (treasurer), Modnath Belbase (joint treasurer) and Dirgha Man Gurung, Parmananda Bhandari, Chandra Lal Neupane, Tulsiram Bhandari, Raju Adhikari and Ganesh Bahadur Khadka (Secretary).

Newly-elected chair Shah highlighted the need of unity among hotel entrepreneurs for their rights and welfare. He also pledged to fight for ending hotel entrepreneurs’ compulsion to pay double taxation.
