Fraud-convict Ghale lands in police net after six yrs



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Chal Bahadur Ghale of Dhading on the charge of defrauding people promising them Australian visas.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Ghale from the capital on Sunday.

The Foreign Employment Tribunal on January 08, 2013 had slapped Ghale with a six-year-jail term along with a fine of Rs 150,000 in fraud case.

On May 27, 2011, Ghale had taken Rs 700,000 from victims promising them jobs in Australia and gone out of contact.

Arrested Ghale has been sent to the central jail in Sundhara.
