KATHMANDU: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Sushil Gyawali has warned to book the contracting firms that are delaying the reconstruction works of the quake-hit facilities.
Inspecting the ongoing reconstruction task of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) building in Kathmandu on Sunday, CEO Gyawali said that the construction companies would be fined if they are unnecessarily dilly-dallying the constructions.
On the occasion, RSS Chairman Harihar Adhikari ‘Shyamal’ said that the RSS building was not reconstructed till 28 months though it was supposed to be completed in nine months. Chairman Adhikari urged Gyawali to facilitate for the reconstruction of the RSS building in a fast track way.
During the program, CEO Gyawali assured to book the Siddhababa Construction Company after a thorough study if there were mistakes on its part.
He also said that taking more than 28 months for the completion of a project was unacceptable by any means if it was promised to accomplish in nine months. Likewise, RSS General Manager Opendra Sharma asked the CEO for coordination to expedite the remaining tasks of the reconstruction.
