Sports as baseline for national development: CM Rai

ITAHARI: Chief Minister at the State-1, Sherdhan Rai has opined to make the sports sector as a baseline for national development.

While inaugurating the Nobel International Sitario Karate competition here today, Chief Minister said that civilized persons could be developed through sports.

He also argued that such sports competitions could promote tourism in the country in view of Visit Nepal2020. Rai also committed to supporting sports sectors from the state government side.

Competitors from Nepal, India, Sri-Lanka, Pakistan, Bhutan and Bangladesh are contesting in the match.
