NEPALGUNJ: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai, has assured that there won’t be a budget crunch for the upgrading of Nepalgunj airport.

Minister Bhattarai said so during a discussion on Nepalgunj airport upgrading.

Once the long term plan of development is prepared for the construction of the international airport, it would help bring in numerous tourists.

“Although Nepalgunj-Delhi flight is in priority, technical matters are yet to be sorted out. The hurdles will be cleared soon,” he stressed.

Nepalgunj airport sees nearly 40 flights every day, providing service to 1,100 passengers. It is the busiest airport after Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal.
