SAPTARI: A gang of unidentified assailants opened fire in Dakneshwori Municipality on Sunday night, district police said.
The gruesome incident took place when the victim identified as Bhagawati Mandal, 24, of Dakneshwori Municipality was coming from Rajbiraj, SP Krishna Prasai said.
He was shot in his right arm. He has been undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
Police have initiated an investigation.
