Airport police trained in Chinese, French languages

KATHMANDU: Police personnel deployed at the Tribhuvan International Airport have been trained in Chinese and French languages, targeting Visit Nepal Year 2020.

Along with the police personnel on duty at the TIA, the central police special task force, traffic police and tourist police members also took part in the training. Earlier, they were trained in the English language as well as etiquette, according to the TIA security office.

Additional language skills are expected to help the security personnel to address any concerns facing the tourists, after landing at the only international airport in the country.

Speaking at the concluding session today, Chief of the office, senior superintendent of police Sandip Bhandari expressed the confidence that the training would help address the concerns of the service recipients and also better service as per the vision of Nepal Police.
