Lightning claims three in Saptari



SAPTARI: Three persons have lost their lives in lightning occurred in different parts of the district on Tuesday.

According to police, the victims are Punam Yadav, 15, from Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-1, Harihar Chaudhary, 60, from Surunga Municipality-3, and Shivasati Devi Pandit, 45, from Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-11.

All of them were struck with lightning while working in the fields, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kumar Yadav, adding that lifeless body of Chaudhari was kept at Ram Prasad Sharada Murarka Hospital of Lahan, while of Pandit and Yadav at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital of Rajbiraj for postmortem.
