Two cups of coffee a day, keep the bowel trouble away

SAN DIEGO: Coffee changes gut bacteria and improves the movement of  intestine’s  contraction. Drinking it twice a day keeps the bowels on move as it suppresses the bacteria to increase the bowel muscle movement.

Xuan-Zheng Shi, associate professor in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston approves the above findings. Even caffeine-free coffee produces similar effects as regular coffee does, declares Shi during the Digestive Disease Week (DDW) 2019 held in San Diego, on May 20, 2019.

Lab test on rats shows the increased contraction of muscles in the lower intestines and colons after coming into the contact with the coffee. IT requires further research as coffee drinking is considered as effective treatment of constipation especially after surgery.

Coffee boosts longevity if one pours a cup or two of coffee throughout the day. Being high in antioxidants, coffee keeps you energized by improving your physical performance. It is claimed that ‘caffeine’ in a coffee can increase the blood pressure. This is true only when one gets addicted to it and begins to take a cup of coffee after every two hours in a day. Be controlled in your intake of food and beverage as same becomes poison if one crosses the bar of required limit.
