Indian Muslims need not fear from CAA, NRC: PM Modi

NEW DELHI: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the ongoing tensions festering in India over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) on Sunday.

PM Modi assured people in New Delhi that the CAA and the NRC will not affect any Indian Muslims.

Prime Minister Modi was addressing people at a BJP rally in New Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan ahead of the assembly elections.

He said that a lie was being spread that the BJP-led government had brought the law to take away people’s rights, which he claimed was a wrong statement.

He also slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for failing to provide welfare for the people there.

PM Modi alleged the Congress and ‘Urban Naxals’ for spreading misinformation about the CAA and the NRC. (Agencies)
