NC urges govt to ensure hassle-free travel to Macau

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress, the main opposition, has urged the government to ask Hong Kong to grant transit visas for the Nepalis living in Macau.

According to NC, more than 4,000 Nepalis are currently working in Macau, a special administrative region of China.

NC delegation led by the party’s chief whip Bal Krishna Khand on Sunday met Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali today and urged him to take diplomatic initiatives to ensure hassle-free travel for the Nepalis flying to Macau.

Minister Gyawali, meanwhile, said his ministry would take up the issue seriously as he, too, was aware of the situation.

The NC party said Kathmandu-Hong Kong-Macau was the best air route for the Nepalis living and working in Macau to travel from here.
