MCCA urges govt, parties to endorse MCC agreement



KATHMANDU: The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal on Sunday urged the government and political parties in the Federal Parliament to endorse the agreement in the winter session.

The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal is a government body commissioned to manage the programs to be developed as per the agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) of the United States.

The document agreement is yet to be endorsed by the Federal Parliament.

The MCA-Nepal on Sunday urged the government and the parties b organizing a press conference in Kathmandu when the leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) are divided over the issue.

MCA-Nepal’s Executive Director Khadga Bahadur Bisht said that the agency was committed to accomplishing the projects under the MCC within the stipulated time.
