Fake cops land in police net

DHANGADI: Police have arrested four persons on the charge of collecting extortion faking themselves as police personnel.

According to police, the arrested are Anil Chandra, Pradeep Giri, Sandeep Shrivastav and Bhaktaraj Joshi of Dhangadi-8.

They were arrested two days ago, according to District Police Office, Kailai.

They had thrashed Arun Chaudhary and Laxman Chaudhary accusing them of carrying brown sugar and had also demanded Rs 100,000 from them threatening them of filing a police case.

Acting a complaint lodged by Arun, police arrested the fake cops.
