Nepal-Bangladesh Joint Secretary Level talks begin



KATHMANDU: The fourth meeting of the Commerce Joint-Secretary Level Technical Committee of Nepal and Bangladesh has begun in Kathmandu.

The meeting is aimed at promoting trade between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, discussions would be held on reducing the trade deficit with Bangladesh.

Joint-Secretary Nabaraj Dhakal of the Commerce Ministry, who is leading Nepali delegation in the meeting, stated that the agenda of ‘connectivity’ between Nepal and Bangladesh would be raised in the meeting.

Likewise, discussions will also be held for the operation of direct bus service from Kathmandu to Dhaka and cargo supplies between Nepal and Bangladesh.

The two sides would also discuss providing Bangladesh visa to Nepali students in a smooth manner.
