Chidambaram gets bail 2 months after arrest



NEW DELHI: India’s Supreme Court has granted bail to Indian Congress leader P Chidambaram in the INX Media corruption case, India media reports have said.

Chidambaram has been granted bail around two months after he was arrested.

Reports said Chidambaram, however, will continue to remain in the jail as he is currently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also.

He was arrested in connection with the graft case by the CBI on August 21.

The former Home Minister is currently in the custody of the ED in the INX Media money laundering case. (Agencies)
