Two swept away by swollen river in Myagdi

MYAGDI: Two people have gone missing after being swept away by a swollen river, locally known as Kotkhola, in Bagarfant in Myagdi Beni Municipality-2 on Saturday morning.

According to police Sharmila Pariyar, 10, Aniskha Pariyar 6, have gone missing  due to the floods. The floods have destroyed five buildings of Buddha Academy and damaged houses of Maya Pariyar, Parwati Pariyar, Resham Pariyar, Jugjali Pariyar and Set Pariyar, said Police Inspector Dhruba Prasad Sharma.

Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and locals are carrying out rescue work, said Sharma. Police said they are searching the missing ones.
