Fire breaks out in cotton factory in Balkot

KATHMANDU: A fire has broken out at a cotton factory in Balkot in Suryabibayak Municipality-2 of Bhaktapur on early Sunday.

The fire, which broke out at 5 am, was contained by police with the help of fire engine and locals.

According to Ram Prasad Bhattarai, a local, the fire broke out in one of the two go-downs of the cotton factory near Nepal Red-cross building in Balkot.

The fire has destroyed the go-down. The details of property damaged is yet to be assessed, said police.
