DPM Pokharel urges Biplav outfit to shun violence

BIRATNAGAR: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Ishwor Pokharel, has said that the government would forward process for talks with Netra Bikram Chand-led group only if the group gives up arms and violent activities.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Monday evening, Deputy Prime Minister Pokharel shared that the government has not officially forwarded process for a dialogue with Chand-led group.

He said that the government has registered media council bill and bill related to other commissions in the Parliament, saying correction should be made on the bills by holding discussion there if there are some mistakes.
