Nepal, Georgia chambers of commerce sign MoU on trade expansion

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed a bilateral agreement on trade expansion and investment promotion.

In presence of Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kazi Shrestha and President of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Giorgi Pertaia signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday.

The agreement has mentioned to expand bilateral trade between the two countries being based on existing laws and rules and to seek new investment opportunities.

Speaking at the function, Chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Shrestha said that investment should be made in hydropower, ICT, agriculture, health and sports for trade and tourism development.

He requested Georgian industrialists to investment in Nepal saying that necessary laws are in place.
