Home Minister vows to enrich Nepal Police’s capacity



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the management of country’s internal security affairs is challenging.

Speaking at the concluding session of training organized here on Monday by the Nepal Police Headquarters, National Police Academy, Maharajgunj, the Home Minister said the development of the Nepal Police  organizational structure in the federal structure was in the offing and further strengthening the nation’s security by consolidating relations with the state governments was the need of the hour.

“The government is working to make the Nepal Police as a strengthened and technology-enriched institution,” he said, underlining the need of reliable security provision to meet the vision of ‘ prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’.

He took time to praise the Nepal Police for its noticeable works despite limited resources, pledging the support to further increase the organizational capacity of Nepal Police. He highlighted the need of a sound security system to make the Nepal Visit Year successful.

Inspector General of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khanal, expressed his hope that training would assist for enriching strategic skills and expanding the vision and the horizon of knowledge for social planning, management and improvements.
