DANG: Three teenage girls died after they bogged down into a swampy bank of Paiti stream in Ambapur of Gorahi Sub Metropolitan City, Dang on Saturday, said SP Bel Bahadur Pandey, chief of District Police Office, Dang.
The deceased have been identified as 19-year-old Basanti BK, Jharana BK, 19, and Amrita BK. According to SP Pandey, Jharana and Amrita are siblings while Basanti is their aunt.
At first one girl fell down into the swampy ditch and two others bogged down while they were trying to save her, according to police.
