Three Chinese nationals ascend Mt Everest

KATHMANDU: Three Chinese nationals belonging to ‘First Chinese Women Everest Expedition 2019’ have successfully climbed Mt Everest on Wednesday morning.

Yin Hung Tsang, Liyamu Ma, Sun Ningning have climbed Mt Everest with the help of Phurba Tenjing Sherpa, managing director at Dreamers Destination Treks and Expeditions Pvt Ltd, who is leading the team, according to Gyanendra Shrestha, liaison officer at Everest Base Camp.

They set the record of being the first Chinese women’s group to climb Mt Everest. They climbed Mt Everest with the theme of ‘Rose of Mt Everest’.

Mt Everest is like a rose so it should be preserved, promoted and kept clean, said Yin Hung Tsang. While climbing Mt Everest, they collected tiny pieces of garbage including chocolate covers, covers of Noodles and cigarette butts and handed over to the  stakeholders, Liyamu Ma said.
