KATHMANDU: Reconstructed historic Kedarnath temple inside Bhaktapur Durbar Square has been inaugurated by Prem Suwal, lawmaker and secretary of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) amid a function in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.
Bhaktapur municipality carried out the reconstruction of the temple damaged in the devastating earthquake of April, 2015. Speaking at the event, lawmaker Suwal demanded that the government declares Bhaktapur a cultural city by conserving and promoting its heritages.
Likewise, mayor of the municipality Sunil Prajapati informed that the reconstruction was complete before the deadline. On the occasion, Ram Krishna Twayana, chairperson of the Kedarnath temple reconstruction consumers committee, which took care of the reconstruction, handed the symbolic key to the temple to mayor Prajapati.
