6 Indians among 290 killed in Sri Lanka serial blasts

NEW DELHI: A day after eight serial blasts rocked Sri Lanka, authorities said the death toll reached 290. At least six Indians are among the dead, authorities said.

Reports said seven JDS workers from Karnataka have gone missing since blasts ripped apart the Shangri La Hotel in Colombo. The group was staying at the hotel.

Over 500 people have been injured, reports said.

Meanwhile, police have arrested some 24 suspects in connection with the blasts. (Agencies)
