Butwal declared beggar-free city



BUTWAL: The Butwal Sub-metropolitan City has been declared as a beggar-free city.

The Sub-metropolitan City made this announcement organizing a special program here today.

This step has been taken so that the underprivileged and helpless elderly people, mentally ill, women and children will not have to live in the street begging for alms.

It was shared on the occasion that 197 helpless people were rescued in one year’s period since December 22 last year, through the joint efforts of the Sub-metropolitan City and an ashram.
