Two arrested with pistol in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: Police have arrested two persons with a homemade pistol from Lalbandhi Municipality-5, Majorgunj on Saturday.

The arrested are locals Rajesh Mahato, 30, and Sonalal Thakur, 40.

A police team deployed under the command of Police Inspector Narayan Thapa from Area Police Office, Lalbandhi nabbed Thakur at around 2 am today.

Mahato had fled leaving a motorcycle with Indian registration number during a security check. Mahato and Thakur were heading to Lalbandhi from Jabdi on separate motorcycles.

Mahato had thrown the homemade pistol in a rice field which was later recovered by police. He was arrested from Lalbandhi at around 8 am this morning while Thakur was arrested during the security check.
