NA accepts proposal to send bill for clause-wise discussions

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) has unanimously endorsed a proposal to send the ‘Kathmandu Valley Public Transport (Management) Authority Bill -2076 BS’ to the Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise discussions.

NA chair Ganesh Timalsina has presented the proposal for the decision. Prior to this, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth had presented it before the session for endorsement.

In today’s meeting, Ram Narayan Bidari, President of Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee tabled the committee’s annual report- 2076 BS.

Meanwhile, NA Secretary Rajendra Phuyal today presented three bills that were received from the House of Representatives (HoR). The bills include Nepal Police and State Police (work operation, monitoring and coordination) Bill; Police Adjustment Bill; and Environment Protection Bill-2076 BS.

The next session of the NA has been scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday.
