Metropolitan Police Range declines to register Nikita’s complaint



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range (MPR) has refused to register a complaint filed by Nikita Paudel, wife of Rabi Lamichhane who is doing time in Chitwan police custody over TV journalist Shalikram Paudasaini’s death.

Nikita had reached the MPR to file a complaint against three individuals including chief of District Police Office, Chitwan, according to SSP Uttam Ram Subedi, chief of MPR, Kathmandu.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range has instead suggested Nikita file a case at the Chitwan Police Office.

Paudel wanted to lodge the complaint Kathmandu today in which SP Dan Bahadur Malla, chief of District Police Office, Chitwan, acting president of Nepal Press Council and editor of Jana Aastha Weekly Kishor Shrestha and Sanket Koirala, editor of www.nepalaaja.com, a news portal, were mentioned as defendants, according to MPR, Kathmandu.
