ABU DHABI: A man was jailed for a year and fined Dh500,000 after he was found guilty of blackmailing and breaching online laws. Official court documents stated that the woman in her early 20s met the defendant on social media and they started dating.

The man asked her to send him inappropriate pictures of her, which he later used to blackmail her.
