NCP secretariat meeting underway

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) secretariat meeting aimed at finalizing the remaining tasks of the unification process between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) is underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The meeting is expected to finalize the work division of the central leaders, the formation of central departments, and the party’s overall organizational structures, among other issues, party sources said.

The NCP party is yet to finalize its central committees, the politburo, party’s organization chief, provincial committees and district committees, among others.

The party top leaders had on July 17 which had agreed to finalize the remaining tasks related to party merger process, had entrusted party secretariat to endorse the same.
