JHARKHAND: Four villagers in India’s Jharkhand state were lynched to death by a group of around a dozen men on suspicion of practicing black magic, Indian media reports said.

The villagers — two men and two women – of three families in Gumla district of the state were lynched to death on Saturday.

Reports said they were beaten with road and sticks till the time they died. Police said that the crime seems to have occurred owing to superstitious beliefs. Police have initiated an investigation. (Agencies)
