Tamil Nadu to accept 20 lakh liters of water from Kerala

TAMIL NADU: The state government of India’s Tamil Nadu has decided to accept 20 lakh liters of drinking water from Kerala.

Indian media reports said the Tamil Nadu state government took the decision to accept the drinking amid severe drinking water crisis in the state.

Earlier, the Tamil Nadu government had declined Kerala’s offer saying that there was no need for help at the moment.

Likewise, the Tamil Nadu government has also urged the Kerala government to cooperate in storing water in the Mullaperiyar dam saying that there was a massive water crisis in the state. (Agencies)
