India’s PM Modi says Yoga is beyond religion



PATNA: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday led Yoga Day celebrations. He performed asanas in Ranchi along with 40,000 other people, including BJP leaders, ministers, and yoga enthusiasts.

On the occasion of the 5th International Day of Yoga, PM Modi said that yoga unites people irrespective of their caste, religion, creed or society.

He stated that his government was working towards making yoga the pillar of what he said ‘preventive healthcare’.

PM Modi maintained that Yoga can play a role in tackling the problem of heart ailments. (Agencies)
