Jeep-hit claims cyclist in Rupandehi



 

RUPANDEHI: A man died after being hit by a jeep at Bhaseli Chowk in Sainamaina Municipality-3 in the district on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Chandra Bahadur Tharu of Sainamaina Municipality-5, confirmed DSP Baburam Ghimire of Area Police Office, Ranyaura.

The accident took place when a jeep, Lu 1 Cha 6936, heading to east from west hit the cycle-borne Tharu heading in the same direction.

Critically injured Tharu breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
