3-month jail term to model Khusbu Oli in check bounce case



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court on Tuesday convicted controversial model Khusbu Oli in a check dishonor case and sentenced her to three months in jail.

A single bench of judge Shree Krishna Bhattarai also ordered the model to pay Rs 3,000 in fine. Oli had drawn a check for Rs 3.6 million to one Gopal Bahadur Katuwal of Saptari on January 3, 2017.

Katuwal had moved the court after the check was returned unpaid by the bank due to lack of sufficient funds. The court maintained that Rs 3.6 million to be recovered from her.
